Who or what is a Psychic?

Highly Sensitivity Person or HSP
The term high sensitivity or HSP (High Sensitive Person) is increasingly used today when speaking about people who have extrasensory perception. A highly sensitive person perceives more than an average human.
Highly sensitive people feel, see, hear and smell more. They are also called clairvoyant, clairaudient, clairolfaction and clairsentient.
A psychic can perceive the emotions and the radiation (energy) of living and lifeless objects. We say that the psychic is paranormally gifted. However, it is better to use the term highly sensitive when indicating something psychic, because paranormal still has something vague about it.
6th sense
Sometimes, when we speak about the extraordinary gifts of the psychic, we also use the expression 6th sense. This expression is very unfortunate because it implies an additional (material) sense.
Is a psychic also a medium?
In most cases, a psychic is also a medium, because he or she can be used as a means for communication between this realm and the other side.
Highly sensitive and psychic, are not synonyms.
It will become clearer that the term highly sensitive actually is better than psychic because the term has a broader definition than the other debated terms. If people say psychic or medium, then they are only covering part of the load.
A magnetiser is also paranormal, but by contrast, does not have to be psychic, but is highly sensitive.
The psychic and the word "clear"
It is also said that psychics see ‘clearly’, hear ‘clearly’ and smell ‘clearly’ etcetera. The addition clearly must be exercised with some restraint. The word clear means in this regard, objective and truthful. However, the objective and truthful nature of the observations cannot always be guaranteed, because the psychic’s personality plays a role in the interpretation of the observations.
Ego censorship of the psychic
There are times when the perception is truthful and objective. Those are the brief moments when the psychic forgets himself and has turned off his ego for a short time. These moments are, as we call them, not clouded by so-called ego censorship.
